Retreat Details

I strongly believe that in order to make good decision, one should be well informed.

When I was preparing one future blog text I realized that it was important to share all the little details about our retreats.

People are interested in: knowing the activities, where is the location, where they are going to stay and in what type of accomodation, how do they get there, if they need to bring material, what are the benefits of attending, the daily scheduale, how much it costs and finally why (really) should they go to this retreat.

You will find all this information on our website. I want to go  further and share what you can encounter from us, what are the rules from the retreat and what attitudes  you should practice (as a participant).

1. What you can expect from us

During the retreat Manuela - the Mindfulness meditation teacher - will be always available for individual talks and offer to give an individual support to anyone who needs help with their meditation practice.

The Yoga teacher – Nadine Vanmanshoven - will also be available for any questions during her class and we appreciate if you inform her of any limitations or injuries.

For the horse riding there will be an introduction and a short demonstration of the riding techniques used, and you always be watched and accompanied by professional and experienced teachers like Mr. Jean- Louis Birou.

And there will always be the presence of Michel, to support and help you with any questions or doubt.

Between the four of us we speak English, French, Dutch, there will be no language problem.

Unfortunatelly there may be unforseen changes to the schedule, due to bad weather.

2. General Retreat "Rules"

The daily schedule should be respected: the day starts early (no delays) and ends early (please rest). Every participant is expected to attend the daily activities.

A curious and non-jujdmental mind should be cultivated during the retreat.

Trust is fundamental, trust the teachers and enjoy the process.

Silence is advised. It is not a silent retreat but this is an opportunity to connect with your innerself and you can only do that with silence. Silence helps you to hear your inner voice.

Always respect your body and your bounderies: practice selfcare.

There will be time during the day for you to rest: what you do with your free time is entirely up to you. You can exercice, as long as you don't do it with loud music.

We totally advise against having your phone during the retreat activities. You can leave it in the room. In the end of the day it will still be there and you can talk to your family.

3. Attitudes from the participant

We advise you on practice non-judgment, patience, beginers mind, trust, effortlessness, acceptance and letting- go. These will help you to enjoy the process and the experience.

Attitudes of self-care, confidentiality, listen and participate, silence, not disturbing and genuine effort are very welcome!

I hope that by sharing these practical details we can help you to make a more conscious decision to join us !

With love,

Manuela
